The terms governing your use of Citation Intelligence services and website.
By accessing and using the Citation Intelligence website at citationintelligence.com (the “Site”) and engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue use of our website and services immediately.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Site after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Citation Intelligence provides Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and AI citation engineering services for businesses. Our services may include citation audits, entity architecture, content strategy, structured data optimization, competitive citation analysis, and ongoing AI visibility management.
Service scope, deliverables, timelines, pricing, and payment terms are defined in individual client agreements (“Service Agreements”). These Terms supplement but do not replace the terms of any signed Service Agreement. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a Service Agreement, the Service Agreement shall govern.
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe upon or restrict anyone else’s use. You may not: use the Site in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, server, or connected systems; use automated systems (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Site without our written consent; reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our Site content without authorization; or transmit any material that is defamatory, offensive, or otherwise objectionable.
All content on the Citation Intelligence website, including but not limited to text, design elements, graphics, logos, trademarks, methodologies, frameworks, and software, is the intellectual property of Citation Intelligence and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Client-specific deliverables, strategies, audit reports, and recommendations produced under a Service Agreement are provided for the exclusive use of the commissioning client and may not be shared, resold, sublicensed, or distributed to third parties without prior written consent from Citation Intelligence.
Both Citation Intelligence and its clients agree to maintain the confidentiality of proprietary and non-public information shared during the course of any engagement. Confidential information includes but is not limited to: business strategies, competitive intelligence, citation audit data, methodology details, pricing structures, client lists, and any information designated as confidential by either party.
Confidentiality obligations survive the termination of any engagement for a period of two (2) years unless otherwise specified in a Service Agreement.
You represent and warrant that: you are at least 18 years of age; you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms; you will provide accurate and complete information when using our contact forms and services; you will not use our services for any unlawful purpose; and your use of our services will not violate any applicable law or regulation.
Citation Intelligence provides services on a best-efforts basis using proven methodologies. However, AI platform behavior, algorithms, training data, and citation mechanics are controlled by their respective operators (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, Perplexity AI, and others) and are subject to change without notice.
We do not guarantee specific citation outcomes, ranking positions, revenue increases, patient or client acquisition volumes, or any particular business results. Past results referenced on our website or in marketing materials are illustrative and do not guarantee future performance.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Citation Intelligence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of our website or services, regardless of the theory of liability.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Citation Intelligence in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Citation Intelligence, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to your violation of these Terms, your use of the website or services, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or our services shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties for a period of thirty (30) days. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in the state of Texas, and the decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the Site at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property, confidentiality, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, and any applicable Service Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Citation Intelligence regarding your use of the Site and services, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
